FlowStop is a French company specialising in flood protection solutions. Founded in 2021 and based in Perpignan, it designs and markets inflatable flood barriers that secure the openings of homes, businesses and public buildings against flood risk.
The device is made from drop-stitch technical textiles: it locks by pressure against the frame and the floor to limit water ingress, protecting doors, garages, patio doors and technical rooms. An innovation awarded 2nd place at the 2023 Concours Lépine, out of 371 inventions, along with the French Prime Minister's Award.
Within a few years the company expanded internationally: a US subsidiary in 2024, selection for CES Las Vegas in 2025, 5,500 units sold in 2025, and the opening of a plant in New Hampshire in 2026.
